bags under his eyes ID’ed via paper attached to the back
of the image as Joseph W. Alsop, Middleton, 3/25/84
steel”. Alsop was a merchant and I speculate that this
image was used to create a steel engraving thus the word
steel on the back .. His posture and gaze indicate a man of
considerable status and influence. A cloudy area above his
head haloing around a small green spot. Full case.
