young Captain Marion B. Saffold in his West Point
uniform. He was KIA on 10/8/99 at Cavite, Philippine
Islands as Captain, 16th Infantry. Before his death he
was a Cadet at the Military Academy, July 1, 1875, to
June 13, 1879, when he was graduated and promoted in
the Army to 2nd Lieut, 13th Infantry , June 13, 1879.
Served: in garrison at Atlanta, Fa., Sept 30, 1879, to
Nove. 7, 1879 - and Jackson Barracks, La., to June 23,
1880; on frontier duty at Ft. Wingate, N.M., to June 1,
1888, and Ft. Supply, I. T., to; and as Regimental
Quartermaster, Dec. 16, 1889to First Lieut., 13th
Infantry, Dec 16, 1889. Back marked G. W. Pach, New
York. $85
