12260 Nathan Gillette 1st Conn Lt Artillery  1/6 plate
ambrotype. This flag still exists and is located in the state
capitol in Hartford Conn.  The same photo is there but in
print form where it shows in reverse (laterally correct).
Gillette is shown with the national color of the 1st light
battery Connecticut Vols.  This image is identified from the
one in at the state capitol. He has a kepi with small
embroidered cross cannon insignia, nine button frockcoat,
saber, cap box and belt plate.  The plate is dark and silvery
but retains excellent clarity; one fingerprint is on the left
side.  All in all a very rare view.    $1750
