Old Bentz the Bugler A beautiful albumen measuring
10" X 13" to the mount. This view is of Louis Bentz,
beloved class bugler of the 1st Artillery Corps, who
was buried at West Point after 45 years of faithful
military service. This photo was taken by noted
photographer G.K. Warren and is marked Warren in
the lower left portion of the photo. $595.00
West Point Cemetery: "Near the northwest corner of
the old section is the unique memorial to "Old Bentz"
the Bugler. He was a musician at West Point for
thirty-two years, and upon his death the Corps of
Cadets purchased his marker. It is the only one in the
cemetery that is all metal.
