by the U.S.S. Red River
A partly printed document that reads,"Treasury
Department, Fourth Auditors Office, Dec 1st, 1865. Sir:
Lists for the captures by the U.S.S. "Red River"
Expedition 2nd Payment referred to in your letter of
24th are not ready for distribution. The "volunteer" is
payable, but the amount is very small. You should
always give name of your vessel. Very respectfully,
your Obedient servant, S.J. W. Tabor Auditor to
Reuben Yocum Cairo, Illinois." $35.00
